Timboon Walk a smash hit!
Sep. 21, 2017
The Timboon ‘A Walk in the Park’ last month has proven a runaway hit on all measures.
More than 150 people took part in the event, raising around $3,200 for Parkinson’s Victoria.
According to Tracey Heeps from Timboon and District Healthcare Service, the inclement weather on the day made the result was even more meritorious.
“When we introduced the day, we mentioned the traits of resilience, adaptability, determination and friendship as being the positive symptoms of Parkinson’s”, she told local newspaper Cobden Times.
Parkinson’s Victoria acknowledges the great work of organisers Pam Robb, Elva Dingwall, Carmel Flanagan and Geoff Russell in co-ordinating the event.
