We Want You – To find your voice in ParkinSong
Two of Parkinson’s Victoria’s successful singing groups are welcoming participants as they commence new terms.
Parkinsong Langwarrin and ParkinSong Bayside both start their new terms in October 2017.
ParkinSong is a singing group program designed specifically for people with Parkinson’s and their carers. It’s held in an uplifting, supportive and social environment and offers vocal exercise, an opportunity for expression, the joy of group singing, social contact and peer support.
Everyone is welcome, even if you’ve never sung before. You don’t need musical talent or skills.
The new terms for both Langwarrin and Bayside ParkinSong groups provide a great opportunity to enjoy the range of benefits that group singing offers.
One enthusiastic participant had this to say about Parkinsong:
“ParkinSong is a really supportive space to help me find my voice. I have fun and I feel more confident with my speech. I get to meet others with Parkinson’s, their carers and the right professionals”.
ParkinSong sessions are held fortnightly from October through December.
The Langwarrin group commences its new term from October 4th and the Bayside group (held in Hampton) commences October 13th.
