How you can help

Parkinson’s Victoria works in partnership with the wider community in order to achieve our mission. We rely on the generosity of people in the community who partner with us to raise much needed income for services. Other people give their time and skills as volunteers.

Our recurrent government funding only represents 23% of our total income. We are reliant on donations, bequests and other forms of income in order to raise approximately 67% of the funds needed to offset the shortfall in service provision.

Support us with a Donation

Every donation makes a difference. Unlike many charities, we choose not to telemarket, nor do we use expensive mail houses. We rely on the generosity of volunteers to work with us to produce and distribute two letter appeals each year, in December and in June. In this way, we are able to keep the costs of fundraising to an absolute minimum, maximizing the donated amount to go towards services.

Leave a Gift in Your Will

Remembering Parkinson’s Victoria in your will creates a powerful legacy that will positively impact upon many people beyond your lifetime. Some members of the community let us know they intend to make a bequest. Others choose to support our valuable work by making anonymous bequests.

In Memoriam Donations in Lieu of Flowers

Many people choose to make an in-memoriam donation, or to donate money, rather than send flowers to funerals and memorial services. Contact our office for more information.

We can send out free in memoriam envelopes on request.

Alternatively, you can now commemorate and celebrate the life of a loved one by creating an “In Memory of Tribute Page in their name, and requesting donations to Parkinson's Victoria.

Our In Memory of Tribute Pages give you the opportunity to celebrate, honour and remember the life of a loved one and to share these reflections with friends, family and others.

A personal Tribute Page is also a unique way for people to support a cause close to you and your loved one’s heart - Parkinson’s Victoria - and others who are living with Parkinson's. 

In just a few simple steps you can build your personal Tribute Page and then approach friends and family for a donation by emailing around the unique link of your webpage.

Each donation is recorded on your page along with any message of support from your donors, and donors receive an electronic receipt immediately.
