'We
need every Australian to stand up and say that people
with a disability, their families and carers in this
country deserve better and that it's time for change.
We need every Australian to say that people with a
disability, their families and carers are Australians
too, and that their hopes and dreams count. That they
are part of our community, and that they count.' [Every

Young Australians with Parkinson's"
Parkinson's
Victoria Client Services Coordinator, Amanda Spillare, was
awarded a Churchill Fellowship scholarship in 2007 and recently
undertook a study trip to the USA and UK to understand overseas

Amanda has produced a report which reviews her experiences
and provides recommendations for developing improved supports
for young Australians with Parkinson's.
Is
a plain English web guide to legal issues around health
and life changes. It was produced for use in Victoria only
as some of the laws will be different in other states of
Australia. Chronic illnesses bring about lifestyle changes.
This resource was designed by the Chronic Illness Alliance
to help people with a chronic illness, their families and
advisors, to make informed decisions about the future.
