Support Groups

Joining a support group can be a good way to share information, make friends and hear advice from people in the same situation as you.   

Parkinson's Victoria is affiliated with support groups for people living with Parkinson's, their carers and friends all across Victoria. 

If you are interested in attending a support group or would like to find out more, please contact us on

Currently, groups operate in the following areas:

Young @ Park - this is a group for people diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson's. The group meets every few months for a social meal together in Melbourne and also in Geelong.

Painting with Parkinson's - are speciality groups where people living with Parkinson's can engage their creative side and enjoy the company of others while experimenting with different pens, papers and paints. The emphasis is on fun and not on creating masterpieces. Various locations throughout Victoria.

Post DBS Group - If you have had Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) and would like to meet up regularly with others who have also had the surgery please contact Catherine on (03) 9581 8700. Parkinson's Victoria is looking to start a DBS group in the near future.
