Parkinson's
Victoria are always interested in generous people willing
to donate their time. We have a list of activities through
out the year ranging from those odd jobs around the office
to help at our various fundraising events.
Do
you have some time to spare in your busy day ??
Do
you have skills we could utilise ??
Do you enjoy participating in fundraising activities ??
My name is Jo Berthelemy and I am the Volunteer Coordinator at Parkinson's Victoria. We organise an array of fundraising events around Melbourne. They not only help to raise money for Parkinson's Victoria so that we can continue to support, advocate and develop services for people living with Parkinson's; but they also add to the community's awareness and knowledge of the condition. So if you can help with any of these, we'd love to hear from you:
- Tin rattle collections
- Bunnings s ausage sizzles
- Unity Walk
- Movie and theatre events
These activities are always heaps of fun and a great opportunity for social interaction, so spread the word to your family, friends and work associates. In addition to a packed calendar of events and activities, we also enlist enthusiastic helpers from time to time to help in the office with various administrative tasks:
- Photocopying
and collating information packs
- Providing
print and copy support to staff when necessary
- Counting tin rattle money after the collections
- Packing Christmas cards ready for selling at charity shops
We rely on members of the community to volunteer some of their valuable time to help us.
Some people volunteer regularly, some once or twice a year or even once only for a few hours - we welcome you!
