Parkinson's
Victoria are always interested in generous people willing
to donate their time. We have a list of activities through
out the year ranging from those odd jobs around the office
to rattling a tin at a City Loop station to Bid for a Bimbo
!!

Administration;
- Photocopying
and collating
- Provide
print and copy support to staff when necessary
- Photocopy
and dispatch Parkinson's Information Packs
- Collating
and dispatching New Member Packs
- Record
and update member information
- Re-order
external brochures for Information Packs
- Copy
Parkinson's Victoria DVDs for sale
- Other
office administration tasks which may arise from time
to time
Client
Services;
- Collate
educational packs for professional development sessions
and keep stocked
- Collate
and mail out information resource requests
- Weekly
academic/research transcript scan to create up to date
resource files
- Assist
with major seminar preparation and be a resource person
on the day
- Facilitate
support groups in gap regions throughout Victoria
Storage;
- Weather
proof the garage for storage
- Build
and erect useable shelving in the garage
- Clean
and organize the garage
Fundraising
Activities;
- Rattling
a tin at a City Loop Station (held twice a year)
- Help
with the organising of various fundraising initiatives
held throughout the year

Parkinson's
Victoria is currently recruiting volunteers for a number
of community fundraising events. Our volunteers are enthusiastic
and outgoing individuals who are looking to donate their
time.

Parkinson's Victoria Unity Walk 2010
29th
August at Federation Square
Volunteers
are needed for a variety of roles including: registrations,
show bag distrinution and course marshalling.

Parkinson's
Victoria City Loop 'Tin Ratte'
As
a part of Parkinson's Awareness Week 2010 we are holding
a Tin Rattle to raise much needed funds for Parkinson's
Victoria.
Where:
The
event will be held at the City Loop stations (Flinders Street
Station, Parliament Station, Melbourne Central Station,
and Flagstaff Station).
When:
8
- 10am, Thursday, 2nd September 2010
For
What:
Helping
Parkinson's Victoria make a difference.
Money
collected will assist Parkinson's Victoria to provide support
services, help individuals manage their condition, and improve
quality of life. This makes a significant and positive difference
to the lives of those living with Parkinson's, carers and
families.
