Changing lives through giving
Feb. 29, 2016
Parkinson's Victoria is honoured to be the beneficiary of a recent significant bequest from the Estate of the Late Peter John Craig.
Peter's mother, Marjorie, received supports and services throughout her journey with Parkinson's as a Parkinson's Victoria member.
"This gift provides vital support to organisations like Parkinson's Victoria as it helps us give lasting support for people with Parkinson's across the state. We are extremely grateful to Tom Harbottle (pictured above) in his role as executor of the Estate", says Emma Collin CEO of Parkinson's Victoria.
By all accounts, Peter John Craig was a private person and well respected Senior Science teacher at Mount Waverley Secondary College. Peter had a huge sense of community for those less fortunate than he, with the proceeds of his estate given to seven charitable organisations for projects that will make a real and lasting difference to the community.
This significant bequest will enable Parkinson's Victoria to continue to provide long term access to comprehensive, relevant and flexible support services, encouraging independence and quality of life for people living with Parkinson's.
A gift in your Will is a simple and powerful way to provide ongoing support to the causes close to your heart. Find out more about the many ways you can leave a gift in your Will, or contact Parkinson's Victoria on 1800 644 189.
