Living Well seminar

Hosted by Parkinson's Victoria, the Living Well seminar is a unique one-day educational seminar for health professionals and people who have been living with Parkinson's for five years or more. This seminar aims to explore and explain the complexities of managing changing Parkinson's symptoms, while getting the most out of life.

Stream 1: Living with Parkinson's

Designed for people living with Parkinson’s and carers. In this seminar you will:

  • Improve your understanding of symptom management strategies and treatment options
  • Learn more about managing advanced Parkinson’s
  • Better understand cognitive changes and associated coping strategies
  • Engage in stimulating, therapeutic break-out sessions including dance, singing, Tai Chi and painting

Cost:  Members $75 per person (people living with Parkinson's and family member/carer)

           Non-members $95 per person (including one complimentary 12 month membership)

This seminar will increase practical knowledge to meet the complex needs of people living with Parkinson’s, including:

  • Advanced drug therapies and surgery
  • Neuro-psychiatric challenges
  • Advanced care planning and palliative care
  • Mobility and independence
  • Impact and management of autonomic changes
  • Communication and swallowing
  • Psycho-social care
