New Yoga for Parkinson’s program
Jun. 17, 2015
A new Yoga for Parkinson's program will commence at St John of God Frankston Rehabilitation Hospital in July.
Yoga involves a set of postures and controlled breathing to help attain good physical and mental health. Many studies have proven that these exercises help achieve good health.
Studies have also shown that regular practice of yoga for people living with Parkinson's can help control some symptoms and improve the condition.
These classes will be run by Dr Sanjay Raghav - a qualified yoga teacher and a neurologist with a special interest in movement disorders including Parkinson's.
Classes will be held every Sunday afternoon during school terms.
