The latest Parkinson’s creative therapy support group will open its doors this month, with the launch of Darebin Painting with Parkinson’s on Thursday 28 February.
Group Coordinator Sarah Lumley is excited about this new creative outlet for people living with Parkinson’s in Melbourne’s north and north-east.
“As well as discovering an unexpected joy in the creation of art, I’ve also learned that it helps to improve my Parkinson’s motor symptoms. I’m looking forward to sharing this experience with others,” Sarah said.
The Darebin Painting with Parkinson’s Peer Support Group launch will be held at:

Painting with Parkinson’s is a Peer Support Group that welcomes all people living with Parkinson’s, as well as family members and carers. No prior artistic experience is necessary.
