Managing Atypical Parkinson’s Seminar

This informative seminar is designed for both healthcare professionals and people impacted by Atypical Parkinson's conditions.
Looking beyond the signs and symptoms, attendees will come away with improved knowledge and practical strategies for managing the challenges of these conditions, which include Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), Multi-Systems Atrophy (MSA) and Corticobasal Syndrome (CBS).
Hosted by Parkinson's Victoria, this seminar will provide information in two separate streams, one to benefit nursing and allied health professionals, allied health assistants and students, and another designed to inform those who live with an Atypical Parkinson’s condition, their families and carers.

Carer stream (for people living with Atypical Parkinson's, families and carers)
Starts at 9.15am.
Cost: $80 plus booking fee per person (plus one guest at no extra cost).
Topics covered include: the importance of support and looking after yourself, managing cognitive change and person-focused allied health.
Healthcare professionals stream
Starts at 8.45am.
Cost: $150 plus booking fee per person.
Topics covered include: neuropsychiatric symptoms and management, strategies for managing cognitive change, a carer's perspective and the Nuero-palliative rehabilitation model.
