Recently Diagnosed Seminar - September
Online session via Zoom (map)
Mon 28th Sep 2020, 4:00pm to 5:00pm (4 weeks, 2 days)
A diagnosis of Parkinson’s is life-changing, so it’s only normal to feel overwhelmed by what this means.
For many people, questions often come up after leaving the doctor’s office. That is why Parkinson’s Victoria’s Recently Diagnosed Seminars are so important – and valued by the many people who have attended them.
These sessions provide a safe environment in which individuals and their families can better understand diagnosis and have their questions answered by a clinical Parkinson’s Nurse.
As well as providing a unique opportunity to learn more about living with Parkinson’s, your questions will be answered and you will join together with others facing comparable changes and challenges
The COVID-19 restrictions have temporary halted our face-to-face sessions. However, to enable you to continue to safely access invaluable information, we have taken the RDS program online.
Attend all three sessions from the comfort of your own home
So you can safely access the information you need, Parkinson’s Victoria has adapted its three hour face-to-face seminar into THREE, ONE HOUR hour online sessions across THREE DAYS via the Zoom platform.
You will be provided with the knowledge and tools to build a foundation for improved confidence, self-management and care, including symptom management strategies, plus information on the many support services available.
It is recommended that you attend all three sessions to gain the most out of all of the information being presented.
These free sessions are designed for people who have been diagnosed within the past five years. Family members are also welcome to attend. Access links will be provided on registration.
The three sessions will run from 4pm - 5pm on:
Monday 28 September
Tuesday 29 September
Wednesday 30 September
