Stream WPC Virtual presentations until 20 August

Did you miss WPC Online? The good news is that you have until 20 August to register and stream - FOR FREE - any of the presentations of this five-day global event designed to inspire and give hope.

This offer is made possible through our partnership with the World Parkinson Coalition (WPC) to deliver its first ever virtual congress for people living with Parkinson’s.

WPC Virtual: Advancing Science, Care & Living with Parkinson’s ran from 17-21 May and took scientific updates and connectivity to a new level.

You can still secure your FREE ticket now! Enter the code PKSVCT21 at the checkout stage and the US$25 registration fee will be waived.

        or

Download and stream up to 68 presentations and Q&A panels to watch until 21 August 2021!

Topics presented included updates on: Basic Science, Clinical Science, Treatment Options, Comprehensive Care and Living with Parkinson’s.

The program also included two 4-part wellness series, looking at physical and vocal fitness. Talks were delivered by both well recognised and up and coming leaders in the Parkinson’s space.

Sessions were pre-taped and released each day to allow global viewers to watch the sessions comfortably in their own time zone and submit questions via the chat button.

Moderators and speakers then accessed these questions and prepared their responses for the live Q&A, held the following day.

These sessions are now all available to view!

Among the speakers is Victorian Geoff Constable, a World Parkinson Congress Ambassador, who will speak in the Living Well with Parkinson’s stream on the topic: Accept, Adapt but Never Surrender.

Fight Parkinson’s’s Health Team, Clinical and Support Services Manager Victor McConvey will moderate day three of the comprehensive care stream.

Topics covered

Clinical science: drug re-purposing, biomarkers, environmental toxins, targeting inflammation

Comprehensive care: innovative approaches to reduce freezing of gait, fighting apathy and fatigue with energy, fine motor skills, cognition changes and speech production

Treatment options: when to start treatment, deep brain stimulation, living with dyskinesia, dizziness, off-time treatment.

Living Well with Parkinson’s: retraining the brain, nutrition, Young Onset PD, using technology to track Parkinson’s, building networks.
